HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-12-10; City Council; Resolution 91-390T .- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 €3 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 0 W RESOLUTION NO. 91-390 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAI CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO AN EXISTING AGREEMENT BETWEI THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND TEKMARINE, INCORPORATED FOR THE CARLSBi SAND SURVEY AND PROFILE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has previously a consultant agreement with Tekmarine, Incorporated on August 18, 1987 i the Carlsbad Sand Survey and Beach Profile Program; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby f necessary, desirable and in the public interest to continue said progra fiscal year 1991-92; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has previously and appropriated sufficient funding for said program in its 1991-9; budget; and, WHEREAS, section 3 of said agreement enables the City to renegotiat contract extensions with Tekmarine, Incorporated to continue the provided for in this agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That an extension to an existing agreement between the Carlsbad and Tekmarine, Incorporated is hereby approved in accordai Tekmarine’s proposal letter of November 8, 1991. 3. That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward i this Resolution to Tekmarine, Incorporated, 572 E. That the Purchasing Officer is authorized and directed to City Purchase Order for said services in accordance with the intent I Resol uti on. Cahill Municipal Projects Division City of Carlsbad 2075 Las Palmas Drive Carlsbad, CA 92009-4859 Subject: Carlsbad Sand Survey and Beach Profile Program Dear John: I am pleased to submit our proposal to continue the subject program through FY 1991-1992. We propose to accomplish the FY 1991-92 program for a fee of $27,795.00. The breakdown of proposed budget is as follows: Beach Profile Survevs, 2 @$I 1,053.24 $22,106.48 6 @$739/day x 1.5 days 6,65 1 .OO 500.00 Sub-Total 29,257.48 5% Discount 1,462.48 Bi-monthlv Beach Reconnaissance Cost of Insurance for Subcontractor Total ProDosed Budget $27.795.00 The proposed budget incorporates a 4% inflationary adjustment over the last year, plus the cost waiver of subrogation insurance being imposed on our subcontractor Coastal Frontiers Corporati who will perform field surveys, and a 5% discount from the sum of the above. Our proposal is bas on the assumption that the program will be continued using the current range lines a survey/reporting frequencies as presently contracted. All other elements of our existing contract regards to number of copies of reports, my attendance at Committee meetings following t submission of the April and October survey results, my bi-monthly visits and reconnaissance repoi SUIIlmariZing these Visits, etC., Shall also remain the same. As approved by YOU, the Coastal Frontit Corporation shall provide field surveys as subcoctractor to Tekmarine. A b:eakdown of the surv budget is attached.
