A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING THE LEGISLATIVE SUBCOMMITTEE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO JOIN IN AMICUS BRIEFS
WHEREAS, the City is frequently asked to join a!
amicus in support of other cities when that action has
1 recommended by the League of California Cities; and

1 WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the joinin
1 an amicus and timing of some amicus requests prohibits the
~ from participating because there is insufficient time to su.
I ' that request to the City Council at a regularly scheduled meet
and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 6, 1990 the City Cou
approved Agenda Bill #10,516 which gives the City Atto
authorization to join the City as an amicus when that action
been approved by the Legislative Subcommittee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct
2. That the City Council authorizes the Legisla.
Subcommittee, consisting of the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem, to
authorize the City Attorney to join in the filing of amicus bri
