RESOLUTION NO. 9 2 - 6 0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
THE CONTRACT FOR THE THIRD PARTY
ADMINISTRATION OF ITS WORKERS
COMPENSATION CLAIMS PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City is permissibly self-insured for workers compensation
purposes; and
a II WHEREAS, the City desires to continue to utilize the services of HCM
9 I/ Claim Management Corporation for the administration of its workers compensation claims
lo; 1) program; and
11 WHEREAS, the City has determined that amending the existing agreement
12 is the most efficient and cost effective method for handling its workers compensation claims
13 program at this time.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City

1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 16

17 11 2. That the City hereby authorizes Mayor Claude A. Lewis to execute

3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $6,000

administrative services for the balance of the current fiscal year. 3
from the Workers Compensation Self-Insurance Fund to cover the cost increase for
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City
