WHEREAS, the City Council established a citizen's committee to study growth by the adoption of Resolution No. 8443 on March 25, 1986; and WHEREAS, seven members were appointed to this committee by minute motion of the City Council on March 25, 1986; and WHEREAS, those members continued to serve until the City Council appointed seven members by Resolution No. 89-307 on August 22, 1989; and WHEREAS, the Council amended Resolution No. 8443 on August 20, 1991 by adopting Resolution No. 91-269 to establish four-year terms, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitals are true and correct. 2. That the term of two members shall expire on August 22, 1993, two additional members' terms shall expire on August 22, 1994, and three members' terms shall expire on August 22, 1995. Thereafter, members shall be appointed to four-year terms to provide continuity to the Committee. 3.
