A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SETTING COMPENSATION FOR CITY OF CARLSBAD PLANNING COMMISSIONERS
3 /I WHEREAS, it is necessary for members of the Planning
IF ommission to devote a considerable amount of time in the 4

:?erformance of this public service, in order to effectively carry
out the duties of their office: and
WHEREAS, due to the increasing complexity of planning
issues in Carlsbad, it has become necessary for the Planning
Commissioners to expend a steadily increasing amount of time in
a
9 IF arrying out their duties and responsibilities; and 10 II WHEREAS, even though it is impossible to adequately 11

ompensate those individuals who serve as members of the Planning
ommission; and 13

WHEREAS, the enumeration paid to the Planning
If ommissioners was revised in 1989, and no additional funding is
15 ip eing requested;

17 I/ NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
l8 1 ity of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That City Council Resolution No. 89-371 shall be 19
2o t epealed by this action.

22 3. That the compensation for Planning Commissioners be
It stablished at $200 per month, effective the date of this 23

City of Carlsbad, at a regular meeting held on the 23ed day of
