RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAI
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FRI
THE LIBRARY SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION ACT, TITLE I

5 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library has been notified that it qualific

$22,500 in Library Services and Construction Act funds; and
WHEREAS, these funds are to be used to enhance services and resour a children and youth at library branch facilities; and 9
10 WHEREAS, the La Costa Branch and the Centro de lnformacion are thc
11 library's two branches, each supporting City Council and library goals and
l2 objectives and each serving young people from their respective communiti
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
14 /I Carlsbad, California, as follows: 15
16 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That staff is authorized to apply to the California State Libra
17 $22,500 in Library Services and Construction Act funds.
18 PASSED, APPROVEDAND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City
19 Ij 1 of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 6th - day of APRIL , 1993,
