CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 8596 AND RE-ESTABLE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California did on June 10,l 6 Resolution No. 8596 creating and establishing the Beach Erosion Committee; and 7 WHEREAS, the guidelines established are no longer appropriate for the functiol 8 Committee; and 9 WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the existence of a Beach Erosion Cor 10 be in the interest of the City; 11 California, as follows: l2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 13 11 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 14 15 16 2. That Resolution No. 8596 dated June 10, 1986 is hereby rescinded. 3. That the Beach Erosion Committee shall serve as an advisory committee t 11 Council and City Manager. 17 18 19 20 21 Carlsbad appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence of the City Council. 4. That the Beach Erosion Committee shall investigate and report on topics I related to beach erosion as directed by the City Council and City Manager. 5. That the Committee shall be comprised of seven members from the c 22 6. That the current members terms shall be staggered as shown in Attachmen 23 26 j consecutive unexcused meetings will be replaced by a designated replacement to be t 25 7.
