A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SIlT IDENTIFICATION ANI
DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIC RECYCLING WEST COMPOSlWC
FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad seeks innovative and pro]
approaches to solid waste management; and
WHEREAS, a green waste composting option will provide a lo1
disposal solution for green waste generated in San Diego County; and
WHEREAS, a green waste cornposting option is consistent with tl
of Assembly Bill 939, the California Integrated Waste Management Act of 198
WHEREAS, Organic Recycling West, Inc. has submitted to the Sa
County Board of Supervisors a proposal to construct and operate a greel
cornposting facility at Brown Field;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL,VED, by the City Council of thr
Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The site identification and description of the Organic R
West Composting facility is hereby approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
Carlsbad at its regular meeting held on the 27 th day of JULY ,7
the following vote, to wit:

NOES: None
ABSENT: None
