A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD,CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS
AND A REPORT ON THE 1993 SUMMER POPS
CONCERT
WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Arts Office to seek funding from outsidc
and
8 WHEREAS, the Arts Commission decided to present the 1993 Summer Pops Cc
9 established a subcommittee to raise funds amounting to $25,000 for such concert a

WHEREAS, the Arts Commission also determined an entrance fee to make up the
in funds not raised; and
WHEREAS, the concert was held on September 5, 1993 with an estimated atter
over 4,000 at a cost of $23, 761; and
WHEREAS, a total of $25,290.62 was raised through contributions and fees, thu
the $25,000 goal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, a!
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The City Council accepts contributions totaling $17,810 and a report on t
funds raised and expended for the 1993 Summer Pops Concert.
