A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
CALIFORNIA DIRECTING STAFF TO PROCEED WITH DEVELOPMENT OF P
MOBILEHOME PARK FAIR MARKET RENT STUDY, DEVELOPMENT OF P
MOBILEHOME RENT CONTROL ORDINANCE, ESTABLISHMENT OF f
MOBILEHOME RENT CONTROL FUND, AND DIRECTING STAFF TO RETURN TC

Mobilehome park have stated that their rents are unreasonable and do not reflec
current market conditions; and

Whereas, residents have asked the City of Carlsbad for assistance in negotiatin!
a new lease agreement or implementing a rent control program; and
Whereas, the City of Carlsbad has facilitated lease negotiations between Laniki
Lane Mobilehome Park and Rancho Carlsbad Mobilehome Park residents an1
owners; and
Whereas, no lease agreement has been reached between mobilehome par
owners and residents; and
Whereas, the City Council directed staff to conducted a series of workshops 2
each of the three rental mobilehome parks in order to present a proposal for
mobilehome rent control program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City (
Carlsbad as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
6) That the City Council hereby authorizes staff to proceed with a Mobilehon
Park Fair Market Rent Study of Lanikai Lane Mobilehome Park and Rand 2o I 21 I Carlsbad Mobilehome Park.
