HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-12-14; City Council; Resolution 93-331Q il 0 0 c 1 2 3 4 RESOLUTION NO. 93-331 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, APPROVING THE CONCEPT PLAN FOR AN AUTOMATED DATABASE OF RENTAL HOUSING, TO BE CALLED "RENTALS", AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DEVELOP SAID DATABASE, AND, UPON ITS COMPLETION, DIRECTING STAFF TO MAINTAIN AND OPERATE IT AS A PERMANENT INFORMATION RESOURCE. 5 WHEREAS, the City operates a Redevelopment Area, obtain: 6 designed to increase housing opportunities for targeted grc 8 state funds, and is increasingly involved in a range of pro( 7 spends Community Development Block Grant and other federal 9 and 10 WHEREAS, the City must prepare plans which estal 11 status reports on the City's progress in implementing said p: 14 Housing Affordability Plan, together with the preparatia 13 not limited to a general plan housing element and a Comprehel 12 numerical objectives and specific action programs, includinc 15 16 17 18 19 20 I i I the preparation of which requires the collection of comprehel and detailed information on rental housing: and WHEREAS, in recognizing these data collection needs Housing Element of the Carlsbad General Plan (adopted by Council on October 22, 1991, and certified by the Calif!
