RESOLUTION NO. 94-78
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURSUE
TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) FUNDING FROM
SANDAG FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS IN VARIOUS
LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT CARLSBAD
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined that sidewalks shall be part of roac
improvements as indicated in the Circulation Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has solicited
cities, projects for the seven-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the construction of sidewalk improvements in Carlsbad has been includc
the seven-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, funds have been established and are available through SANDAG to
governments for construction of sidewalks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carls
California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council authorizes the submittal of an application to the San C
Association of Governments (SANDAG) for the construction of sidewalks in various loca
throughout Carlsbad.

3. The Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorize
empowered to execute in the name of the City of Carlsbad all necessary applicatic
implement and carry out the purposes specified in this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad Ci C
held on the 15th day of MARCH , 1994 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Stanton, Kulchin, Nygaard
NOES: None
