A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAE
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT F01
TEIE INSTALLATION OF A BASEBALL BACKSTOP, DUGOUTS ANI
FENCING AT TEIE AVIARA OAKS MIDDLE SCHOOL TO THI
LIGHTENING FENCE COMPANY IN TBE AMOUNT OF $36,874

backstop/fencing project at the Aviara Oaks Middle School site and, 7
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has approved thy

WHEREAS, the funds have been approved by the City of Carlsbad anc 8
authorized by the State of California Roberti-Z’Berg-Harris Grant Program and the L;
10 Costa Youth Organization (LCYO) for this project and, 11
12 WIEREAS, adequate Public Facilities Funds (PFF) are available,
13 WHEREAS, plans specifications and contract documents regarding the projec
14 were appropriately advertised for bids and,
15 11 WHEREAS, bids for this project have been received and evaluated to determint

which bid will represent the City’s best interest:
18 II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City o

2. Lightening Fence Company represents the City’s best interest for thc 21

3. The award for this project shall be awarded to Lightening Fence
Company in the amount of $36,874.
4. Public Facilities Funds of $6,300 are appropriated for project constructior
costs.
