RESOLUTION NO. 94-204
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 341 6 FOR
THE EXTENSION OF AVENIDA ENCINAS.

WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for the Extension of Aveni
Encinas, Project No. 3416; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for the Extension of Avenida Encinas was submitted
West Coast General in the amount of $496,802.60; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $722,000 are available for Segment "BI in Account h
No. 305-820-9604-341 6; and
WHEREAS, appropriation of NCTD's funds in the amount of $207,000 is necessary; ar
WHEREAS, appropriation of City contributions in the amount of $32,000 is necessary
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, Califorr
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the bid of $496,802.60 by West Coast General for Project No. 341 6 for tt
Extension of Avenida Encinas is accepted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
contract thereafter.
3. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate the NCTD's deposit<
funds of $207,000 and the City's contribution of $32,000 to Segment "A", Project Account Nc
300-820-1 840-341 6.

4. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to approve individual construci
change orders of $25,000 or less and a cumulative value of $70,254.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City COUI
held on the 12th day of JULY , 1994 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Stanton, Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila
