HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-09-20; City Council; Resolution 94-262Y II 0 e EXHIBIT 3 ll 1 RESOLUTION NO. 94-262 2 3 4 51 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, REJECTING ALL BIDS PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO RE- ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE JEFFERSON STREET BIKE LANES, PROJECT NO. 3156 ~ f3 I1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad 7 /I determined it necessary, desirable, and in the public interesi 8 9 construct the Jefferson Street Bike Lanes; and WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and contract documents for lo 11 furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipml 12 transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental for ~ of $64,000 for said project; and l6 previously appropriated State Grant funds with a remaining am l5 14 Department of the City of Carlsbad; and l3 project have been prepared and are on file in the Enginee WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad 17 11 WHEREAS, the City has made application for Federal Interm 18 19 20 21 Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) funding thr Caltrans in the amount of $162,717. WHEREAS, State Grant and Federal ISTEA funds are curre available in Project Account No. 380-820-8105-3156 ($64,000) 22/1 392-820-8211-3156 ($162,717), respectively, for a total 23/1 $226,717; and 24 11 WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $80,000 25 11 necessary and are available from the General Fund reserve; an 26 27 28 // // 1 d. 6 1 0 e WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes a transfer of $80 2 II from the General Fund Reserve to Project Account No. 300-820-1 311 3156; and 4 5 to the Local Agency-State Master Agreement for Federal 6 Projects, that the concurrence from the California Departmen. 7 8 Transportation is required to either reject or award a contra WHEREAS, construction of said improvements is a matte] 9 10 11 12 WHEREAS, as a condition of the Supplemental Agreement No public necessity and safety. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 13 ll 2.
