RESOLUTION NO. 9 5 - 3 5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND CITY OF SAN
MARCOS FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAFFIC
CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF
THE TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF
RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD AND LA COSTA MEADOWS DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the Crty Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it necess2
the public interest to improve the intersection of Rancho Santa Fe Road and La Costa
Drive by construction of a project that consists of traffic control signal system and rr
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has agreed to participate wii
of San Marcos to facilitate construction of the traffic control signal system and m
improvements at the Rancho Santa Fe Road and La Costa Meadows Drive intersectic
WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has indicated a willingness to pay for the traf

maintenance costs of the traffic control signal system; and 16
signal system and minor road improvements and also pay for the yearly operi
17 WHEREAS, the C*tty of Carlsbad will inspect the project during construction; a
18 WHEREAS, the Ctty of Carlsbad will operate and maintain the traffic control sigr

upon completion of construction and acceptance by the City of Carlsbad and the C
Marcos; and
WHEREAS, the Crty of Carlsbad will be reimbursed for said operation and ma
costs of the traffic control signal system by the City of San Marcos on a yearly basis
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
