A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLsl
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A BUDGET FOR COUNTY SERVICE ARE AND REQUESTING THE LEVY OF BENEFIT CHARGES FOR
COUNTY SERVICE AREA No. 135

WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the importance of regional
communications to mutual aid assistance and coordination in the ev

7 disaster; and
8 II WHEREAS, the Council adopted a resolution on February 15,
requesting inclusion of Carlsbad in a county service area to be formf
provide regional public safety and public service communications; a:
WHEREAS, the County Board of Supervisors has formed Count

WHEREAS, the County Board of Supervisors has established 2 14

Service Area No. 135 for the purpose of funding the Regional
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the proposed budget for

operation of the Regional Communications System.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit
23 ll Carlsbad, that the City of Carlsbad:

25 procedure for fudng and collecting charges on the tax roll for
26 miscellaneous extended services provided by County Service Area 1
27 Regional Communications System at a rate not to exceed $1 per un

1. Requests the Board of Supervisors to adopt an ordinance pro%
