RESOLUTION NO. 9 5 - 7 0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE PROGRAM
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 018 TO LOCAL AGENCY-STATE
AGREEMENT NO. 11-5308 PROVIDING FUNDING FOR THE
FEASIBILITY PHASE OF THE COASTAL RAIL TRAIL PROJECT.
5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has been designated as the lead agency in the
6 Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) for the development of a feasibil
7 for the Coastal Rail Trail; and

WHEREAS, the City and State have previously entered into Local-State Ac
10 WHEREAS, the California Transportation Commission has adopted the list of E

a feasibility study evaluating the alignment alternatives and resulting impacts from the
construction of a Class I bike path parallel to and within the existing north/south
right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad will act as project administrator and chair of an 2
SANDAG Bicycle Facilities Coordinating Committee subcommittee staffed by membc
affected Cities along the railroad corridor; and
21 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that receipt of supplemental funding is benefic
