RESOLUTION NO. 95-116
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ME CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF DIESEL EXHAUST SYSTEMS AT FIRE
STATIONS
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFOF
determined that to protect the health and safety of employees working in the fire St:
necessary to install diesel exhaust systems to remove pollutants; and
WHEREAS, the Plymovement Sliding Balancing Track (SBT) exhaust extractic
is deemed to be superior to other available systems, will conform to the system alread!
at Fire Station No. 2 and will be compatible with systems utilized by the Encir
Oceanside Fire Departments, thus allowing exchange of apparatus between the ager
WHEREAS, AAIR Purification Systems has been determined to be the exclusiw
of the Plymovement SBT System and has submitted a bid of $80,533.04 to install thesc
at Fire Stations No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Crty Council of the City of Ca
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a sole source contract with AAIR PI
Systems for the purchase and installation of diesel exhaust systen
stations.
