RESOLUTION NO. 95-l1I
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE UPGRADE OF THE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Commission approved a
rate structure for all voice and data circuits provided by
Pacific Bell effective January 1, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the city is in the process of replacing th
Financial Information System, which will require upgrades t
communication network; and
WHEREAS, an analysis showed that an immediate upgra
some existing circuits would save monthly operational costs
would meet future communication requirements.
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the gene
fund balance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council o
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct
2. That staff is hereby authorized to upgrade the
communications network.
3. That an appropriation of $98,000 from the gener
fund balance into the Information Systems Administration bu
is hereby approved for the upgrades.
