A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF MANAGEMENT AND THE CARLSBAD CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION. 4 5 6 WHEREAS, representatives of management and the Carlsbad City Employees' Association, have met and conferred in good faith 7 10 9 terms and conditions of employment; and 8 pursuant to the Meyers-Millias-Brown Act regarding wages and othr WHEREAS, said representatives have reached agreement whicl 11 they desire to submit to the City Council for consideration and 12 11 approval; and l3 i/ WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it to be in the 14 15 16 Memorandum of Understanding, marked Exhibit A and incorporated t public interest to accept such an agreement in the form of a I" I/ reference herein; 18 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the 20 City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 21 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 22 23 24 25 balances to cover the expense of a 3% salary adjustment effective 2. That any increase in the cost of the health insurance premiums during the term of this Memorandum of Understanding wi be covered by the fund balance in the Health Insurance Fund. 4. That the enhancements to the health insurance program will be made in FY 1995/96. The estimated costs associated with these enhancements are $80,000 per year for CCEA represented employees and will be funded from the City’s Health Insurance reserve fund. 5. That the cost of the Third Level of the 1959 Survivors’ Benefit will be funded from reserves held by PERS. I// /I/ /I/ I// JJJ /I/ //I /I/ /// I// ~ I1 0 e 1 2 6.
