A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM THE SEWER REPLACEMENT FUND TO THE ENCINA I WASTEWATER AUTHORITY TO UPGRADE ADS FLOW METERING STATIONS I

WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad owns three sewer flow m8 8
Wastewater Authority: and 7
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is a member agency of the
10 centralized sewer system implemented by the Encina Was
11 Authority: and
12 WHEREAS, the Encina Wastewater Authority has determir

more accurate flow readings: and 18
meters to a new, technologically advanced meter that will r 17
WHEREAS, the Encina Wastewater Authority is upgrad 16
unusual or questionable results: and 15
metering stations under certain peak flow conditions have 1- 14
the gravity meters that are currently measuring flow
19 I WHEREAS, as a member agency of the Encina Wa:

costs associated with the upgrade in the amount of $26,40 21
Authority, the City of Carlsbad is responsible for its
22 WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the Sewer Rep
23 Fund to pay for the City of Carlsbad's upgrade costs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
