2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBA CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE 1996/97 USED 0
3 BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND APPOINTING THE ADMINISTRATI\
SERVICES/PROJECTS MANAGER AS THE SIGNATURE AUTHORITY
4 WHEREAS, grant funding has been established by the California Oil Recyclin!
5 is available to cities and counties through the California Integrated Waste Management
6 establishing and maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage rec
7 appropriate disposal of used oil; and
8 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is desirous of applying for these funds; and
9 WHEREAS, the program requires that the application be approved and a
10 authority appointed by resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cz
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The submittal of a 1996/97 Used Oil Block Grant application is appro\
3. The Administrative Services/Projects Manager is appointed as the
authority for this project.
