A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND DAVID J.
POWERS & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR CONSULTING
SERVICES TO PREPARE A STUDY ANALYZING THE
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF
LOCATING CHILD CARE FACILITIES IN INDUSTRIAL
AREAS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby res
as follows:
1. That an agreement between the City of Carlsbad and Dav
Powers & Associates, Inc., for consulting services to prepare a study analyzins
health, safety, and economic impacts of locating childcare facilities in industrial ai
is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized
directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Carlsbad.
3. The amount of Forty-five Thousand Four Hundred Fifteen Dc
and No Cents ($45,415.00) is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated
balance of the general fund to the Planning Department professional services acc
to support the costs of this study.
