RESOLUTION NO. 96-68
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT NO. 114530 WITH
INTERCHANGE, PROJECT NO. 3219
CALTRANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LA COSTA AVENUE/I-5
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it nec
desirable, and in the public interest to proceed with the improvements to the La Costa
and Interstate 5 interchange, Project No. 3219; and,
WHEREAS, Caltrans has special expertise and operational jurisdiction of the pr
facilities; and,
WHEREAS, a Joint Powers Agreement for the construction of said project is su
herewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That Joint Powers Agreement No. 11-0530 with the California Departn
Transportation for the construction of the La Costa Avenue and Interstate 5 interchange,
No. 3219, is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and c
to execute said agreement. That following the Mayor’s signature of said Agreement, I
original agreements, shall be forwarded to the City Engineer for execution by Ci
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbi
Council held on the 20th day of February , 1996 by the following vote,
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Kulchin, Finnila and Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
