HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-03-26; City Council; Resolution 96-100-, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 e 0 RESOLUTION NO. 96-100 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING AN AGENT TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATING TO CLAIMS AND REIMBURSEMENTS FOR DAMAGES INCURRED DURING THE WINTER STORMS OF TANUARY 1995. WHEREAS, the City incurred losses in the form of property damage during the winter storm disaster of January 1995; and WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, the City of Carlsbad is entitled to reimbursement for certain of those losses; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad must appoint an agent to represent the interests of the City in matters relating to claims and reimbursement for those losses; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. 2. That the above recitations are true and correct. The City Council of the city of Carlsbad, California, hereby authorizes the Emergency Services Coordinator of the City of Carlsbad, Division Chief Michael Smith, to act as the agent of the City on all matters pertaining to the processing of claims, disbursments and agreements related to OES disaster 1044-46, and to provide to the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services such information and assurances as may be necessary to complete that processing. /// /// /// 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 * @ PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 26th, day of March, 1996, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Nygaard, Kulchin, Finnila and Hall NOES: None ABSENT: Mayor Lewis ATTEST: AI-.$Hi.
