A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE 1996/97
FISCAL YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET OF
THE ENCINA WASTEWATER AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is a member agency to the Encina Joint Power Ba
Agreement entered into on June 13, 1961, for the acquisition, construction, ownership ope
and maintenance of the Encina Joint Sewer System; and
WHEREAS, the Encina Basic Agreement requires approval for the budget of the E1
Wastewater Authority (EWA) by the member agencies following the recommendation of th
Advisory Committee (JAC); and
WHEEAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad desires to approve said budget
provide for payment of its share of such expenses in accordance with the allocation providec
the Basic Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of CarlsE:
follows:
Section 1 : That the Fiscal Year 1996/97 capital budget of the EWA, as approved by
JAC on May 22, 1996 in the amount of One Million, Eight Hundred Fourteen Thousand, Tt
Hundred Dollars ($1,814,200) is hereby approved.
Section 2: That the City of Carlsbad’s share of the EWA 1996/97 fiscal year Capital
Improvement Program budget is Three Hundred Forty Three Thousand, Four Hundred Sixtf
Dollars ($343,4 16).
Section 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to make payments on behalf of th
agency to the EWA in accordance with the budget approved by JAC and in accordance with
Encina Basic Agreement.
