A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE CREATION
FIELDS FOUNDATION
OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-PROFIT CARLSBAD FLOWER
WHEREAS, the flower fields represent an important amenity to the Carlsbi
Ranch project and to the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of supporting appropriate measures to ens
long term productivity of the flower fields; and
WHEREAS, an independent non-profit foundation dedicated to funding re:
and development projects related to improving the viability of local flowering crops, and t
enhance the public experience in and around the flower fields is an appropriate measure ta
in ensuring the long term productivity of the flower fields.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Carlsbad, California as follows:
The City Council formally supports the creation of the Carlsbad Flower Fic
Foundation dedicated to ensuring the long term production of the flower fields.
