RESOLUTION NO. 96-275
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BUILDING REROOF AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. CS96-2
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad, California for the
the Community Development building; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received was submitted by Roejack ROO;
in the amount of $94,677; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Capital Improvement Program,
Number 300-820-5320-3544; and
WHEREAS, the award of this contract is contingent upon the contractor exec
required contract and submitting the required bonds and insurance policies, as describ
contract, within twenty (20) days of adoption of this resolution. The City Manager t~
reasonable extensions of time; and
WHEREAS, if the contractor fails to comply with the insurance and
requirements in the prescribed time, the City Council authorizes an administrative awa
contract to the second or third lowest bidder. The bid security of the lowest bidder
forfeited. On the failure of the second or third lowest bidder to whom this contract is av
execute it, the bidder's security may likewise be forfeited.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ca
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. Funds are available in the Capital Improvement Program, Account Number
5320-3544.
3. The bid of $94,577 by Roejack Roofing, Inc. for the Community Dev
building reroof, Contract No. CS96-2 is hereby accepted and the Mayor anc
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract thereof.
