RESOLUTION NO. 96-336
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING TWO CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL GRANTS AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Arts Office was awarded a $2,940 State/Local Partnersh
and a $14,000 Arts Education Partnership grant; and
WHEREAS, the State/Local Partnership grant provides funding for information servil
technical assistance to local artists and arts organization, and the Arts Education Partnersh
provides funding to develop a 5 year arts education long range plan in partnership \
Carlsbad Unified School District; and
WHEREAS, both grants fulfill the 1996/97 City Council goals to actively pur!
contribution of funds and provide quality progrrams and encourage opportunities t
partnerships with schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carls
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the State/Local Partnership grant and the Arts
3. That the grant money is hereby appropriated into account number 180-8141
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council of
City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 8th day of October , 1996, by the followin<
to wit:
Education Partnership grant from the California Arts Council.
for the uses described herein.
