RESOLUTION NO. 96-368
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM CALIFORNIA
LIBRARY SERVICES ACT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program provides
training to meet the literacy needs of adults; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program supports th.
goals of the City Council and the objectives of the Library; and
WHEREAS, the California State Library will provide additional support for
the Adult Learning Program with grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That staff is authorized to apply to the California State Library for
$29,253 in California Library Literacy Service Act funds.
