RESOLUTION NO. 97-58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TRAVEL FOR SENIOR ACCOUNTANT TO ATTEND THE GFOA
INTERMEDIATE GOVERNMENTAL ACCOUNTING SEMINAR
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING OUT-OF-STATE
WHEREAS, the Finance Department hired a new Senior Accountan
December 1996; and
WHEREAS, the GFOA Intermediate Governmental Accounting Seminar
worthwhile and educational seminar for public employees who want to learn more a
governmental finance and establish useful contacts; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the Finance Depart1
budget for the Senior Accountant to attend the seminar; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby fir
necessary, desirable and in the public interest to authorize out-of-state travel fo
Senior Accountant to attend the GFOA Intermediate Governmental Accounting Ser
in Seattle, Washington.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Ci
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized, in accordance with City p
for the Senior Accountant to attend the GFOA Intermediate Governrr
Accounting Seminar in Seattle, Washington.
