CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 9 7 - 6 7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING $1,700 FROM THE HOUSING TRUST FUND
FOR THE VISTA WINTER REGIONAL SHELTER FOR THE HOMELESS
4 WHEREAS, addressing the needs of homeless persons and families transcends jurisdicti
boundaries; and

6 families within its jurisdictional boundaries;
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to address the needs of its homeless persons
7 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to cooperate with other local jurisdictions in the N
San Diego County Coastal region to address the shelter needs of homeless persons and families du
8 the winter months;
9 WHEREAS, the City of Vista will be sponsoring a Winter Regional Shelter for the horn(
and has requested a funding contribution for Carlsbad's proportionate share of costs to assist with
1Q operation of the Vista Winter Regional Shelter; and,
11 WHEREAS, adequate funds are available in the Housing Trust Fund for the Vista Wi
Regional Shelter for the Homeless;

That the City Council hereby appropriates $1,700 from the Housing Trust Fund for
Vista Winter Regional Shelter and authorizes the City Manager to forward
appropriate contribution to the City of Vista.
