RESOLUTION NO. 97-457
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A STREET NAME
CHANGE ON A PORTION OF POlNSElTlA LANE TO
POINSETTIA LANE/AVIARA PARKWAY IN THE
SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, Aviara Land Associates has filed a verified application
the City of Carlsbad which has been referred to the City Council; and
WHEREAS] said verified application constitutes a request for a s
name change as shown on Exhibit “I”, (attached) and as provided by City Cc
Policy Statement No. 20; and
WHEREAS] the City Council did on the 1st day of April, 1997, hl
duly noticed hearing to consider said proposed street name change; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering all testit
and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Council considert
factors relating to the street name change.
NOW, THEREFORE] BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Coun
follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the hearing, the City C
approves a street name change, based on the following findint
subject to the following condition:
Finding:
1. That the City Council finds that overriding economic and social consider
permit the street name change on that portion of Poinsettia Lane to Poir
Lane/Aviara Parkway as shown on Exhibit “I”.

Condition:
1. That all costs associated with the design, fabrication and installation of the
modifications at the Interstate WPoinsettia Lane Interchange and street wil
borne by the Aviara Land Associates. Those costs associated with the n;
change may include but are not limited to ten freeway signs, four interr
illuminated street signs and all emergency response data bases and maps.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 22nd da\
April , 1997 , by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin, ani
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
