RESOLUTION NO. 97-504-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAFUSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
REVISED SALARY SCHEDULE FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
REPRESENTED BY THE CARLSBAD FIREFIGHTERS’
ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, representatives of management and the Carlsbad Firefighters’

Association conducted negotiations pursuant to the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act regarding

wages and other terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, said representatives reached agreement and submitted the
11 Memorandum of Understanding in March 1997 to the City Council which was approved;
12 and
13

WHEREAS, the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding call for a 2%
general wage increase effective the pay period inclusive of July 1, 1997; and
15 11 WHEREAS, funds for this salary adjustment are available and have been included
16

19 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
in the Fire Department operating budget for Fiscal Year 1997198.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

1 /I 2. That the Fire Department Salary Schedule set forth in Exhibit A, attached
