A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A GIFT OF
$42,000 FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY.
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Carlsbad Library have donated $42,000 to
the library, and;
WHEREAS, the library and the Friends have agreed that this donation will
be used in support of children’s programs and for the purchase of library
8 materials and laser printers;
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

I. That the above recitations are true and correct. 11
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
12 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $42,000 from the Friends

of the Library on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates these
funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests Account.

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 5th day of AUGUST ,
1997, by the following vote, to wit:
