RESOLUTION NO. 97-563
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO PUBLISH AN
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR NORTH BATIQUITOS
CONTRACT NO. 34521/34522
SEWAGE FORCE MAIN, CMWD PROJECT NO. 85-401-

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determinc
necessary and in the public interest to approve the plans and specifications and authc
9 11 publishing an advertisement for bids for the North Batiquitos Sewage Force Main, CM

Project No. 85-401-Contract No. 34521/34522; and
WHEREAS, funds appropriated in the 1997/98 Budget for sewer
replacement in the amount of $410,000 are available; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for North Batiquitos Sewage Force h
and 12” Water Main Replacement, CMWD Project No. 85-401, have been prepared by

z1 Invitation to Bid in accordance with Section 3.28.080 of the Municipal Code; and
Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff with a cost estimate of $230,000, inch
$4,000 for construction surveying services and soil testing, and $16,000 for construc
inspection services, and are on file in the Engineering Department of the Carlsbad Munic
Water District; and
WHEREAS, authorization is hereby granted by the City Council to publist
22 WHEREAS, the Contractor, the City of Carlsbad and Carlsbad Municipal v\1

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit 24
District will enter into a three party contract for construction of the project; and

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans and specifications and cost estimate of $230
28 submitted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff which are on file witt-

3. That the authorization to publish an invitation to bid in accordance wi
Section 3.28.080 of the Municipal Code be granted.
4. That the Contractor, City of Carlsbad, and Carlsbad Municipal Wat
District will enter into a three party contract for construction of the project.

of the City of Carlsbad, California held on 26th day of August , 1997, by t
