RESOLUTION NO. 97-590
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE
NOTICE INVITING BIDS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE
WASHINGTON STREET 10 AND 12-INCH GRAVITY SEWER
PIPELINE, CMWD PROJECT NO. 97-103-CONTRACT NO.
34521
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determin
it necessary and in the public interest to approve the plans and specifications and to authori
an advertisement for notice inviting bids for the Rehabilitation of the Washington Street 10 a
12-Inch Gravity Sewer Pipeline, CMWD Project No. 97-1 03-Contract No. 34521 ; and
WHEREAS, funds appropriated Budget for sewer line replacement in the am01
of $600,000 are available; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for Washington Street 10 and 12-It-
Gravity Sewer Pipeline Rehabilitation, CMWD Project No. 97-103, have been prepared by 1
Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff with a cost estimate of $127,000, wh
includes $1 20,000 for sewer rehabilitation, and $7,000 for construction inspection services, a
are on file in the Engineering Department of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans and specifications and cost estimate of $12O,C
submitted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff which are on file with i
Carlsbad Municipal Water District Engineering Department are incorporated herein by referer
and are accepted.
