RESOLUTION NO. 97-658
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR A GRANT FROM CALIFORNIA LIBRARY LITERACY
SERVICES ACT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program provides trair
to meet the literacy needs of adults; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program supports the
goals of the City Council and the objectives of the Library; and
WHEREAS, the California State Library will provide additional support forth
Adult Learning Program with grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That staff is authorized to apply to the California State Library for $2€
in California Library Literacy Service Act funds.

of the City of Carlsbad held the 4th day of November , 1997,, by the following vo
