RESOLUTION NO. 97-701
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
REVISED SALARY SCHEDULE FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
REPRESENTED BY THE CARLSBAD FIREFIGHTERS’
ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, representatives of management and the Carlsbad Firefighters’

wages and other terms and conditions of employment; and 8
Association conducted negotiations pursuant to the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act regarding
WHEREAS, said representatives reached agreement and submitted the
11 Memorandum of Understanding in March 1997 to the City Council which was approved;
12 and
13 II WHEREAS, the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding call for 2% wage
x* I/ increase for all Fire Engineers and a 3% wage increase for all Fire Captains increase

effective the pay period inclusive of December 1, 1997; and
17 I/ WHEREAS, funds for this salary adjustment are available and have been included
I.8 I in the Fire Department operating budget for Fiscal Year 1997198.
19 I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the Fire Department Salary Schedule set forth in Exhibit A, attached
4 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
