HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-12-16; City Council; Resolution 97-7201 2 3 4 5 0 e Exhibit 2 RESOLUTION NO. 97-720 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE COLLEGE BOULEVARD AND ASTON AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL, PROJECT NO. 3522. I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determinc 6 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the College Boulevard and A: Avenue Traffic Signal; and 7 8 WHEREAS, four (4) sealed bids were received on November 20, 1997 for the project; 9 WHEREAS, the lowest responsive, responsible bid for the project was submittec 10 HMS Construction in the amount of $92,993; and 11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carls 12 WHEREAS, additional appropriations in the amount of $1 8,240 is necessary. 13 California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the low bid submitted by HMS Construction in the amount of $92,99 hereby accepted and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the for the College Boulevard and Aston Avenue Traffic Signal. 14 15 16 17 3.
