RESOLUTION NO. 98-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAESBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FIRST
AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL, PLAN FOR 1998 FOR GPA
97-06/GPA 95-06
WHEREAS, on November 5, 1997, November 19, 1997 and December 3, 1997,
the Planning Commission held duly noticed public hearings to consider the General Plan
Amendments, GPA 97-06 and GPA 95-06, and the related environmental reviews, respectively;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolutions recommending
approval of two subject amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on the 6th day of
January , 1998, held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the Planning Commissions’
recommendations and to hear all persons interested in the proposed changes to the General Plan
and the related environmental review; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad wishes to consolidate the
proposed changes to the General Plan (GPA 97-06/GPA 95-06) into a single amendment
constituting the first General Plan Amendment of 1998.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council APPROVES GPA 97-06 - Aviara Phase I11 North
and GPA 95-06 - Poinsettia Properties as provided for in City Council Resolutions No. 98-9
and 98-10 , respectively.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 20 th day of January 1998, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES:council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin & Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
