RESOLUTION NO. 98-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TRANSFERRING FUNDS
FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON JUNE 2, 1998.
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held :
the City of Carlsbad, California, on Tuesday, June 2, 1998, i
which there will be submitted to the qualified voters tl
following measure, to wit:
ADVISORY VOTE ONLY
Shall the structure, the Split Pavilion, more commonly
known as the "Bars" be removed?
Yes
No
WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voters for the County of S
Diego has indicated that the cost of calling such a speci
election will be approximately $10,000, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad must pay all costs f
such special election; and
WHEREAS, funds are not available to cover the cost
said election in the City Clerk's election account;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council c
the City of Carlsbad, California, that the amount of $10,000, i
hereby transferred from the City Council's contingency account t
the City Clerk's Election Account for expenses related to tb
Special Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, June 2, 1998.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of t'r
City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 3rd day c
March , 1998, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall
NOES : None
ABSENT : Council Member Finnila
