RESOLUTION NO. 98-61
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OB TIE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS
OF THE SPLIT PAVILION ADVISORY MEASURE.
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held 1
the City of Carlsbad, California, on June 2, 1998, at which the:
will be submitted to the qualified voters the following measurc
to wit:
ADVISORY VOTE ONLY
Shall the structure, the Split Pavilion, more commonly
known as the "Bars" be removed?
Yes
No
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have an imparti,
analysis prepared showing the effect of the measure on existi.
law and the operation of the measure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council 1
the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9280 of t'
Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council do
direct the City Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis of t
measure.

2. That the impartial analysis shall not exceed 50
words in length.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage ar
adoption of this Resolution; and shall enter the same in the fil
of Original Resolutions.
