RESOLUTION NO. 98-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO
AN AGREEMENT FOR BIOLOGICAL AND CULTURAL
RESOURCE STUDIES FOR THE CARLSBAD GOLF COURSE.
WHEREAS, on July 17, 1997, the Carlsbad City Council previously approved I
agreement with Cotton - Beland Associates for the preparation of an Environmental Impa
Report for the Carlsbad Golf Course Project; and
WHEREAS, additional biological and cultural resource field survey work required by tl
United States Fish and Wildlife Service and the California Department of Fish and Game
recommended to be undertaken as a precondition to the future issuance of Federal and Sta
agency permits for this project; and
WHEREAS, a scope of work, schedule, and fee proposal have been negotiated betwet
the parties to the aforementioned agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds it necessary, desirable, and in the pub
interest to proceed with the approval of Amendment No. 1 to the aforementioned agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That Amendment No. 1 to an existing agreement with Cotton - Beland Associa
is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute said Amendment. Following
Mayor's signature of said Amendment, the City Clerk is directed to forward copies of t
Resolution and Amendment No. 1 to Cotton - Beland Associates, attention Mr. John Bridg
6336 Greenwich Drive, Suite F, San Diego, California 92122 and the Community Developm
Department.
