RESOLUTION NO. 98-89 EXHIBIT 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL
AND AVVARDING A CONTRACT FOR PREPARATION OF
A REPORT ON CONDITION OF SEWER LINES, CMWD
PROJECT 98-402
WHEREAS, the engineering staff of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
has previously requested proposals for a contract for preparation of a report on
condition of sewer lines, CMWD Project No. 98-402; and,
WHEREAS, two (2) responses were received on January 16, 1998, for
said project; and,
WHEREAS, two proposals received from two bidders have been reviewed
in detail and the City Council does hereby find that the most responsive proposal
received was submitted by Montgomery Watson in the amount of $39,846.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the contract amount in the amount $39,846 submitted by
Montgomery Watson is hereby accepted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 24th day of March , 1998, by
the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finmila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: c, None
