RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF 1997/2000 USED OIL
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND APPOINTING THE ADMINISTRATIVE
SERVICESlPROJECTS MANAGER AS THE SIGNATURE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, grant funding has been established by the California Recycling Act and is

9 appropriate disposal of used oil; and
available to cities and counties through the California Integrated Waste Management Board fol
establishing and maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage recycling or
10 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is desirous of applying for these funds; and

WHEREAS, the program requires that the application be approved and a signature
authority appointed by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as

1. The above recitations are true and correct.

2. The submittal of a 1997/2000 Used Oil Block Grant application is approved.
3. The Administrative Services/Projects Manager is appointed as the signature
authority for this project.
17 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at

regular meeting held on the 5 day of May , 1998, by the following vote, to wit
