RESOLUTION NO. 98-172
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF MERCHANDISE AND FINANCIAL
CONTRIBUTIONS VALUING A TOTAL OF SEVEN THOUSAND
OF THE YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM AND THE YOUTH
BASEBALL CLINIC.
WHEREAS, the annual Youth Baseball Clinic was held the week c
FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE DOLLARS ($7,581) IN SUPPORT

and runs through March, 1998; and 9
January 5, 1998, and the Youth Basketball program began in December, 199
lo ll WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has receive

dollars ($7,581), a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof; anc

14 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommende
15 acceptance of these donations by the City Council; and
16 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these donations an
17 acknowledge the generosity and support of community vendors an
18
19 organizations who donated to these programs.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City (

I. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept the merchandise an
