RESOLUTION NO. 98-185
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CONSULTANT
AGREEMENT FOR THE 1998 GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN
TRAFFIC MONITORING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad solicited Request fc
6 Qualifications from consulting traffic engineering firms to perform the traffic monitoring progral
7 of the Growth Management Plan; and
8 WHEREAS, the firm of Valley Research & Planning Associates was selected as the mo'
qualified to perform the work; and 9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby finds it necessary, desirabll
and in the public interest to award the consultant agreement to Valley Research & Plannir
Associates to provide services for said project; and

WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has previously collected Traffic Impact Fees to fund sa
14 WHEREAS, funding for the Growth Management Plan Traffic Monitoring Program h:
15 been included and will be appropriated with the 1998-99 Capital Improvement Program Budget.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbal

California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the consultant fee of $47,464 will be charged to the Growth Manageme
Plan Traffic Monitoring Program (Project Account No. 31 0-820-1 840-3316).

execute said agreement. Following the Mayor's signature of said agreement, the City Clerk i
hereby approved and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed t
