RESOLUTION NO. 98-196
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
REVISED SALARY SCHEDULE FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
REPRESENTED BY THE CAFUSBAD FIREFIGHTERS’
ASSOCIATION.
i WHEREAS, representatives of management and the Carlsbad Firefighters’
Association conducted negotiations pursuant to the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act
regarding wages and other terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, said representatives reached agreement and submitted the
Memorandum of Understanding in March 1997 to the City Council which was
approved; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding call for a 2%
general wage increase effective the pay period inclusive of June 29, 1998; and
WHEREAS, funds for this salary adjustment are available and have been
included in the Fire Department operating budget for Fiscal Year 1997198.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the Fire Department Salary Schedule set forth in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and made a part thereof, is adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 23rd day of June , 1998, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Ku
